A Little Girl

The little girl had a light blue dress which extended to her knees. Her legs appeared to be slightly chunky inside the white leggings she wore, the sign of a well-fed child under the age of ten years. Her father held her up, the look in his eyes of total disbelief, a refusal to accept reality but one that would soon set in and remain with him the rest of his life. The child had no head. The ISIS murderers had beheaded her because she was a Christian.

If this sickens you, it should. It should also make you unbelievably mad. Not the outrage that our politicians routinely claim when one of their political senses seizes a photo opportunity, but the gut-wrenching, visceral disgust you feel when you realize these animals breathe the same air as you do. ISIS needs to be removed from the earth, their memory connoting only a nausea associated with a vile, disfiguration of mankind. As Christians we are taught to pray for peace. I pray for God to put an end to these people and those that support them and to forgive me for the hatred that I feel for them.
