More Trojan Horses

We are all familiar with the story of the Greek Trojan Horse. The essence of the story is that the Greek army couldn’t get past the walls of Troy, so they played upon the vanity of the Trojans who looked upon the horse as a tribute to them for defeating the Greeks.  Anyway, the horse was hollow and crammed with Greek soldiers who poured forth late in the night and then destroyed the city and the inhabitants.

In much the same story with a different twist, last month a new mosque was opened in Alexandria, Virginia. They openly gave thanks to three Christian churches that allowed the Muslims to worship on their premises until their mosque was completed. The news media praised the event as an interfaith outreach (here). 

If our Christian leaders fall for this type of charade they should be ashamed of themselves. We do not share the same goals. This group has ties to Islamist terror groups and we always jump at groups such as this (ICNA) hoping that they are the moderate Muslims that we so desperately seek.

Last week Al Gore sold is cable television network, Current TV, to Al Jazeera.  (here). Up until this point, Al Jazeera had been having problems airing its English channel but that is now moot with this deal. For just $100 million in profit Gore had no problem dragging this Trojan horse into our midst. And of course, there was hardly any mention of the sale in our news media. We are on our way to national oblivion if we fail to discern who our enemies are. Of course, that $100 million sure convinced Gore they were just a bunch of good guys.
